Assessment brief templates
When preparing your assessment instructions for students, ensure you use the appropriate Faculty Assessment Brief Template. These templates assist in ensuring that students are aware of the learning outcomes attached to the assessment task, the requirements of the task, and submission requirements.
It is important that assessment requirements are communicated as transparently as possible to students. The Faculty has in place assessment templates and a standardised rubric format which are required to be used in the communication of assessment requirements for all assessment tasks.
These documents should be made available to students on the Unit Site one week prior to the commencement of trimester.
There is one template for the Deakin Law School and one for the Deakin Business School. The templates are available within your unit site on CloudDeakin within the Staff Resources module, allowing you to copy and edit as required.
If you don’t yet have access to the unit site but want to begin drafting your assessment task, please download a copy of the appropriate document below:
Consider seeking feedback on your assessment brief from a member of your unit team, or from the Learning Innovations’ Teaching and Learning team. You can contact the team here General Requests – Learning Innovation
